C: Patrick (1807-1877)

 C:    Patrick McCUTCHEON (3) (William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born in September 1807 in County Down, Province of Ulster, Northern Ireland and he died on the 26th July 1880 in York, ON.  He married Anna PARKINSON on the 26th January 1852 in Gwillimbury, ON.  She was born in May 1829 in Ireland and she died on the 10th October 1914 in York, ON.  Her father was Edward Parkinson.  ‡‡

NOTE:   Patrick married Anna Parkinson late in life, when he was 44 years old.  His 9th and final child was born when he was 63 years old.  After Patrick died, Anna lived with her son Samuel, on a farm in Vaughan Township until her death in 1914.  The family name “McCUTCHEON” possibly became extinct with this family.  Historical records indicate that none of their male children fathered a male descendant.  Most of their sons never married.

~CHILDREN OF PATRICK McCUTCHEON AND ANNA PARKINSON WERE~

  • William Edward McCUTCHEON (4) (Patrick McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born in 1852 in Vaughan Township, York County, ON.  He died on the 25th February 1912 of Brights disease. Lot 35, Concession 8.  He married Mary Ann BEAMISH (1856-1897) circa 1890 in York, County. Their only child: Myrtle Irene (23rd June 1891 – 1894). Myrtle is Buried at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Cemetery, Linton (Hwy 27); King Township York County.
  • Agnes McCUTCHEON (4) (Patrick McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born in 1855 in Vaughan Township, York County, ON.
  • Henry McCUTCHEON (4) (Patrick McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born 1857 in Vaughan Township, York County, ON.  Possibly died as a child.
  • David “Twin” McCUTCHEON (4) (Patrick McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born in 1860 in Vaughan Township, York County, ON.
  • John “Twin” McCUTCHEON (4) (Patrick McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born in 1860 and he died on the 10th September 1906 in Vaughan Township, York County, ON. He is buried at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Cemetery, Linton (Highway 27). Was living at Lot 35, Concession 8. Was Single.
  • Samuel McCUTCHEON (4) (Patrick McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born in 1863 in Vaughan Township, York County, ON.  He died on the 5th January 1933 in Vaughan.  He was buried at the Laurel Hill Cemetery Bolton.  He never married.
  • Isabella McCUTCHEON (4) (Patrick McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born in 1865 in Vaughan Township, York County, ON.  She died 21st December1930 in Vaughan.  She was buried at the Laurel Hill Cemetery Bolton.  Isabella never married.

  • Henry Anderson McCUTCHEON (4) (Patrick McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born on the 5th January 1870 in Vaughan Township, York County, ON.  He died on the 5th February 1954.  Henry never married.

HUGH McCUTCHEON (1868-?):

 1)      Hugh McCUTCHEON (4) (Patrick McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born in 1868 in Vaughan Township, York County, ON.  He married Barbara MUIR on the 6th December 1893 in York, ON.  She was born in 1871 in Woodstock, ON.  She died on the 14th June 1897 in Vaughan, ON. Her parents were William Muir and Helen Brown.  ‡‡

NOTE:   Barbara died of Tuberculosis. When Barbara Muir died Pauline Constance went to the McCutcheon family to raise and Helen and possibly Leah went to the Muir family to be brought up.

~CHILDREN OF HUGH McCUTCHEON AND HELEN BROWN WERE~

  • Leah McCUTCHEON (5) was born on the 22nd October 1894 in York, ON.
  • Pauline Constance “Twin” McCUTCHEON (5) was born on the 27th May 1896 in York, ON.  She died on the 12th November 1969 in Alliston, ON.  Pauline married Stanley Jackson CAIN (1891-1953).
  • Helen “Twin” McCUTCHEON (5) was born on the 27th May 1896 in York, ON.

Muir of this city; her two daughters, Mrs. G S McConnell and Mrs. A E Salsbury, both of Vancouver, BC who arrived in the city Saturday morning; her granddaughter, Miss Leah M McCutcheon who has lived with her since infancy; her niece Mrs. Jacques of London, ON. Other surviving grandchildren are: Mrs. H Guy Marshall of Edinburgh, Scotland who has recently been visiting her grandmother; Miss Pauline McCutcheon of Kleinburg, ON; Mrs. J H McLoughlin of Victoria, BC; Captain W D McConnell of Vancouver, BC………..
