D:    Hugh McCUTCHEON (3) (William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born in 1811 in County Down, Province of Ulster, Northern Ireland and he died on the 21^st January 1895 in York, ON.  He married Margaret MILLS on the 22^nd March 1838 in the Home district, ON.  She was born circa 1818 in Ireland and she died on the 8^th August 1896 in York, ON.

NOTE:   Witnesses at Hugh and Margaret’s marriage were William Agnew and Samuel McCutcheon.  Margaret died of “Apoplexy” – Stroke.  Hugh died of pneumonia.

1)      William John McCUTCHEON (4) (Hugh McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born circa 1839 in York County, ON.  He married Maria HAMMEL on the 2^nd July 1863 in Bond Head, ON.  She was born in October 1840 in King Township, ON.  She died on the 18^th January 1881 in Huron, ON.  Her parents were John Hammel and Ann Martin.

NOTE:   In 1871 and 1881 William was a Tavern-Inn Keeper in Wingham, Huron County, Ontario.  Maria died of Consumption – Tuberculosis which she suffered from for 12 months.

She died on the 9^th September 1943 in Pemberton. ON. She was a spinster. She suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was living with her sister, Blanche, at the time of her death.

     MARTHA McCUTCHEON (1842-1871):

2)      Martha McCUTCHEON (4) (Hugh McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born circa 1842 in York County, ON.  She died in October 1871 in in Vaughn Township, York County, ON.  She married Archibald MORROW on the 19^th June 1862 in King Township, ON.  He was born on the 1^st April 1836 in Ontario and he died on the 21^st August 1912.  His parents were James Morrow and Louisa McNeil.

NOTE:   Martha died very young due to the busting of blood vessels.  Archibald remarried shortly after Martha died to Margaret Slater.  He and Margaret had 4 children, half-siblings to Martha’s children, not mentioned here.

NOTE:   By 1911, Cecil was living at 1125 – 8 Avenue, Vancouver, BC and was living with his aunt and uncle Charles and Sarah Trotter.  His occupation was “Clerk”. Dora was born in Glossop, Derbyshire, England. 

• Carrie Alda Matthine MATTHEWS (5) (Mary Ann McCutcheon-4; Hugh McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) B. 1^st October 1890.  D. 7^th January 1901 in Toronto, ON.  Carrie died of Diphtheria at the age of 10 years.

DAVID McCUTCHEON (1859-?)

5)      David McCUTCHEON (4) (Hugh McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born on the 28^th March 1859 in York County, ON.  He married Elizabeth Maria MATHESON on the 19^th September 1888 in York, ON. She was born on the 22^nd March 1866 in Ontario.  Her parents were Daniel Matheson and Elizabeth.

i.         Hugh Graydon McCUTCHEON (5) (David McCutcheon-4; Hugh McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born on the 4^th September 1893 and he died on the 29^th October 1936 in York, ON.  He married Elizabeth Graham BELL on the 8^th July 1926.  She was born in 1901 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.  Her parents were William Bell and Janet Dunbar.

NOTE:   Hugh was working in a dry-cleaning plant, cleaning furs and dying them, only 3 weeks, when one of the drums overheated and exploded. The machine exploded on the 27^th October and he died 2 days later.  Toxic poisoning and burns.  He was severely burned, which caused his death.  An autopsy was performed on him.

In the 1930 US federal census, Elizabeth, Margaret, Graham and Elizabeth’s mother Janet, were living in White Plains, New York and Elizabeth was working as a private nurse.

SARAH MARIA McCUTCHEON (1865-1943):

6)      Sarah Maria McCUTCHEON (4) (Hugh McCutcheon-3; William McCutcheon-2; McCutcheon-1) was born on the 8^th July 1865 in York County, ON.  Sarah died on the 14^th April 1943 in Vancouver, BC.  She married Charles Lewis TROTTER on the 18^th January 1905 in York.  He was born in 1857 and he died on the 23^rd August 1935 in Vancouver, BC.  This was his second marriage.  His first marriage was to Mary Anne CLETHERONE (1857-?) on the 28^th June 1882.

NOTE:   Sarah worked as a dress maker in Toronto in 1901 and she was living with her sisters, Margaret and Elizabeth.  After she married Charles, they moved to Vancouver, BC and were living at 1125 – 8 Avenue.  Charles profession was “manager”.  Their nephew, Cecil Matthews was living with them.  Sarah and Charles never had any children.
